1 Killed, Another Critically Injured In Rourkela Steel Plant Mishap

In a tragic incident, a staff of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was killed while another sustained critical injuries in a mishap that reportedly occurred at CPP-1 of the steel plant on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Amar Panda while the injured is Sushil Kumar. The injured has been admitted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela.

The mishap reportedly took place when a plate fell on the duo at the CPP-1. While Amar reportedly died on the spot, Sushil was severely injured in the accident.

The duo was working as a contractual employee at the steel plant, sources informed.

The RSP authorities have set up a team to carry out an investigation into the matter.
