The third phase of elections to six Lok Sabha constituencies including Bhubaneswar and the Assembly seats under them is slated for May 25. For smooth conduct of the polls, elaborate security arrangements have been made in Bhubaneswar. 

As per reports, polling will be held in 1132 booths in the Bhubaneswar Parliamentary seat. Of these booths, 421 are Sakhi booths. 

Web-casting for 525 booths

The administration has identified 145 booths as sensitive while web-casting will be held at 525 booths.

Moreover, 15 flying squads and 15 striking surveillance teams will keep moving around the constituency for 24 hours to maintain strict vigil.

Apart from the Commissionerate Police, district police, and 12 companies of CRPF will be mobilized in various parts of the city.

After the end of the campaigning on the evening of May 23, checking and blocking will be intensified in the city. Night patrolling will be stepped up while entry points will be guarded by armed forces.

Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda said, "We have identified 145 booths as sensitive in the constituency. CRPF will be deployed in all sensitive booths. For transparent polling, web-casting will be done in 525 booths.”
