Four of family die in tragic accident in Dhenkanal

A tragic road accident claimed the lives of four persons in Dhenkanal on Monday. The deceased are members of a family.

As per reports, a couple and their two children were going on a motorcycle when a Hyva truck allegedly hit their bike near Nihalprasad under Pingua police limits. The couple died on the spot while their two kids were critically injured. 

Locals rushed the two children to a nearby hospital where they succumbed, sources said.

Following the accident, tension prevailed in the area. Police rushed to the accident spot and seized the truck. After the accident, the driver of the truck managed to flee the spot, locals said. 

Police have started an investigation into the accident. Details of the deceased are being ascertained.

However, no reaction was received from the police.
