Sambalpur: Orientation programme for students at the newly set up Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Sambalpur began today at its temporary campus Silicon Institute of Technology.
“So far 49 of the 60 allotted seats have been filled up; the remaining seats will likely be taken up by September 15,” said Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh, co-ordinator IIM-Indore.
Classes at the IIM-Sambalpur would start from September 24.
This was decided at a high level meeting presided by Development Commissioner UN Behera at the State Secretariat earlier this week. The decision has come amidst uncertainty over functioning of the IIM as adequate number of students has not taken admission.
