Where is Kendrapara Pattamundai Nagar BJD president Khageswar Lenka? Is he hiding somewhere? It is now almost over 16 hours that Lenka has been untraceable, after several agencies conducted a raid at his house in Pokhariapada area on Thursday. The agencies include officials from the Income-Tax department, Police, Election Observers, Flying Squad and Static Surveillance Team. Khageswar is now under scanner over allegations of distribution of cash among voters. The raid was conducted after the Election Commission of India (ECI) received such allegations against Khageswar. The officials of several agencies conducted a raid yesterday at the residence of Khageswar, but no information could be received about his whereabouts. The joint team is reportedly guarding Khageswar’s house and he is likely to be quizzed by the officials in connection with the allegations. Not only Khageswar, but the officials are also yet to get information regarding his family members. Khageswar’s house is reportedly locked from the outside. His mobile phone is also switched off. Not only Khageswar, raids were also conducted at three more places in the area. However, no cash was recovered at those places. The team officials are also searching for Khageswar’s associates. The crucial election to the Kendrapara Parliamentary segment is scheduled to be held in the last phase of the 2024 elections on June 1 (tomorrow).
