While Bahanaga residents are organising a memorial service in remembrance of the train tragedy victims, an artist in Odisha has paid tribute to the victims through his smoke art.
There were two trains-a goods train and a MEMU train-on the same track at a place between Jairam Nagar and Kotmi Sonar in Bilaspur of Chhatisgarh. The two trains were a few meters away.
The signatories include 14 former judges, 115 retired bureaucrats (11 ambassadors), 141 veterans.

Notably, 288 people were killed in the triple train accident involving Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, which were carrying over 2,500 passengers, and a goods train laden with iron on Friday evening at Bahanaga Bazar station in Balasore.
