After a trial run on the restored track, Prasanti Express was allowed to move on the up-line and a goods train on the down-line in the afternoon.

As per reports, 6 persons were killed while over 20 sustained injured in the tragic train accident involved between two passenger trains- one Rayagada passenger and the other Palasa passenger.

At least 11 persons were killed in a train mishap that occurred between Alamanda and Kantakapalli stations on the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border on Sunday.
