At least four persons were killed while several passengers sustained injuries after 21 coaches of North East Superfast train derailed at Raghunathpur railway station in Buxar district on Wednesday.

As per ANI reports, some coaches of the train (12506) going from Anand Vihar Terminal to Kamakhya derailed at 9:35 pm today near Raghunathpur station of Danapur division.

The railway has issued Helpline number PNBE - 9771449971, DNR - 8905697493, ARA - 8306182542, COML CNL - 7759070004.

"..Bihar government is actively engaged in rescue, relief and treatment of the victims and injured, " tweeted Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav.

Raj Kumar, DM Bhojpur told ANI: As soon as we got information about the train derailment in Raghunathpur, the district administration is on alert mode. We sent 15 ambulances, 4-5 buses. SDRF team has been sent. All necessary arrangements have been made to provide treatment to the injured. Doctors have been called. The blood bank has been opened.
