In the aftermath of the horrific Odisha train tragedy, many stories of hope and despair have unfolded. Several families have been completely shattered after losing their loved ones in the tragic train accident involving Coromandel Express at Bahanaga Bazar station in Balasore district on June 2.

Scores of others from different parts of the state are also continuing with a frantic search to trace their family members who are still missing.

After a 15-year-old boy from Nepal, who survived the triple train crash at Bahanaga Bazar station in Balasore recently, reunited with his family members on Tuesday after seeing them on OTV, another such story has come to the fore.

Two persons from Bihar have now come to Odisha after seeing the visuals of their loved ones during the rescue operation following the train mishap in OTV. Though they have travelled and searched various hospitals from Balasore to Cuttack, they are yet to get information about them. One of the family members is said to have traced one body but five others are still untraceable.

“I had seen the video on my mobile phone. I took screenshots and identified our members. I came to Odisha and found one body at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. But we are not getting information about five others,” said a native from Bihar.

He claimed that he had seen the visuals and video clip of the five persons. “I had searched for them in Balasore, Soro, Bhadrak and Cuttack. When I came to Bhubaneswar, I saw the picture of one person and ascertained the identity. I have sent the body to Bihar. We have hope that others are alive and might be undergoing treatment at some hospital,” he added.
