Devotees from far and wide will finally get chance to witness the bliss of Lord Jagannath before their eyes with the reopening of the Puri Srimandir for general public from tomorrow onwards after several months of Covid hiatus.

After remaining out of bounds for over three months, temples and religious places in Puri and Sambapur districts reopened today for devotees amid strict adherence to Covid safety protocols

All places of religious importance in Jajpur district of Odisha will be reopened for the public from August 4 with strict adherence to Covid guidelines. Jajpur Collector Chakravarti Singh Rathore informed about the decision in a statement to the media.

The famous Shakti shrine of Odisha, the temple of Goddess Samaleswari in Sambalpur is set to reopen for devotees from August 3. The decision comes as a great relief for thousands of devotees and servitors who had been waiting with bated breath for the temple to reopen ever since the State government started unlocking the economic activities from the month of June.

The Odisha government has authorized Collectors to take a call on reopening of temples and mutts in their respective jurisdiction
