As cold wave sweeps parts of Odisha, homeless are bearing the brunt. Despite several night shelters, many people in Rourkela have to spend nights in the open without a roof over their heads.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said the minimum temperature will be below normal by 5 to 6 degree Celsius in the districts of interior Odisha and by 4 to 5 degrees in the districts of coastal Odisha during the next 3 days.

Issuing a severe cold wave warning, the Bhubaneswar Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded an ‘Orange’ and ‘Yellow’ warning over several districts of Odisha for the next few days.
