Modi, who arrived here from Germany on the second leg of his three-nation Europe trip, was welcomed by Frederiksen upon his arrival at Marienborg - the official residence of the Prime Minister of Denmark - for talks. As a special gesture, Frederiksen earlier received Modi at the airport.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday again appealed to Russia and Ukraine to have an immediate ceasefire and to take path of dialogue as his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen hoped that India will influence Russia to stop the crisis.
Modi, who arrived in Berlin on Monday morning, held bilateral talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and co-chaired the India-Germany inter-governmental consultations.
This is Modi's fifth visit to Germany after becoming Prime Minister. He had earlier visited the European country in April 2018, July 2017, May 2017 and April 2015.
He also stated that his visit to Berlin will be an opportunity to hold detailed bilateral discussions with Chancellor Scholz, whom he met at G20 last year in his previous capacity as Vice-Chancellor and Finance Minister.
Indians, the Prime Minister said, work with full dedication and integrity for the country, and carry their democratic values and sense of duty with them.
Addressing via video link an event at the Sanatan Mandir Cultural Centre in Canada's Markham where Sardar Patel's statue was unveiled, Modi said this statue will not only strengthen "our cultural values but will also become a symbol of the relationship between the two countries".
At a media briefing, newly appointed Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra underlined the "context, clarity, importance and positive dimension" of India's position on Ukraine and asserted that there should not be any doubt about it.
During his visit to Europe, Modi will be meeting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Denmark Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and France's Emmanuel Macron, who was recently re-elected as the president for a second term.
He said it is in practice in various countries and both the formats are considered legally acceptable.
