PM Modi dedicated to the nation five projects worth over Rs 2,960 crore. The 75 km long Madurai-Theni (Railway Gauge Conversion Project), built at a project cost of over Rs 500 crore, will facilitate access and give a boost to tourism in the region.
He cited the example of adoption of digital payments among people. He said in a country where banking was considered a privilege, fintech has changed the life of the common man. He pointed out that today 40 per cent of the world's digital transactions are happening in India.
Today the world is witnessing that India means business and this is the achievement of not only the government but also the youth and graduates from institutions like ISB, he further said.
Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 is a two-day event and is being held on May 27 and May 28.
During the interaction, the prime minister also reviewed the National Broadband Mission.

Earlier, the two leaders attended the Quad summit along with US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The two leaders are in Japan for the second Quad leaders' in-person summit.
Prime Minister Modi said the Quad has gained a significant place at the world stage in a short span of time.
The agreement was signed in Tokyo by India's Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra and US International Development Finance Corporation's Chief Executive Officer Scott Nathan.
The event was also attended by US President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, as well as the virtually by leaders of Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Besides Modi, the Quad summit will be attended by US President and PMs of Japan and Australia.
Human rights have become a new source of friction in India-US ties. From ignoring them as in the past, the Modi government has been increasingly more confrontational.
"We will also exchange views about developments in the Indo-Pacific region and global issues of mutual interest," he said.
