Though Niranjan has been absolved of the charges, his family has been shattered over the years. His wife and six-year-old son stayed away from him. The costs of the legal battle have left the family in financial difficulties.

As per reports, fires have been witnessed in 92 places across the jungles of Odisha till now. Fires are reported from at least 1000 points. However, approximately 96 percent of the fires have been doused.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Puri, Sushil Mishra said, “We received complaints that some people of other religion entered the temple. We have detained the people who entered the temple. We are verifying their documents and looking into the matter. One of the detainees is a Hindu.”
Sai Kiran, deputy director of Similipal Sanctuary (North) said, ”Keeping the possible forest fires in view, we have started preparations to check such incidents from November and December, 2023. A district action plan has been drawn up with the help of officials of the line departments to determine their roles in fire fighting in forests.”

As per reports, the missing engineer has been identified as Bishnu Singh. A local court in Odisha's Keonjhar district on Friday sentenced a 22-year-old youth and his father to undergo 25 and 20 years rigorous imprisonment, respectively, for sexually assaulting a minor girl.
The tourist has been identified as Anthony Van Arkel. Rendered penniless by the theft, he has been staying at the Niladri Nilay shelter since then.
The aide has been identified as Amir Ali. He was arrested from the Sector-3 area of Rourkela, informed Rourkela SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra. The SP said that a Central team arrested Amir Ali on Wednesday night from Rourkela.
