The court while allowing the investigating agency to take Nag on remand has directed to produce her on December 13. 

Archana Nag Makes Explosive Statements In Blackmailing Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the money trail in the case, has sought 15-day remand of Archana Nag to dig more into the case.

Archana Nag reportedly filed a fresh petition in the district and sessions judge court seeking bail in connection with a case registered against her for allegedly blackmailing well-known Odia film producer Akshay Parija.

Another accused Khageswar’s aide Abinash Priyadarshi alias Chandan appeared before the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday. 

Odia film producer Promod Swain was summoned by ED on Tuesday in connection with blackmailing case. Blackmailing case accused Archana Nag and her aid Shraddhanjali both used to stay at Pramod Swain’s Jagamara residence on rent.

As per sources, Archana, who was involved in one of the biggest sextortion scandals of the State, was staying on rent at Swain’s Jagamara residence.

Meanwhile, the Nag-Chand couple will be once again taken on remand from November 30.

The ED officials will decide their future course of action on the basis of inputs they will receive from Delhi head office and Kolkata zone office.  

The grilling of Shradhanjali has assumed importance in the backdrop of the ED preparing to take Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand on remand. 

The Opposition including the BJP and Congress demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik alleging he has turned a mute spectator of the Archana Nag case.

Shradhanjali, who was grilled for around 14 hours by the ED, reportedly told the officials the names of some influential people from whom Archana had extorted money.
