Archana Nag, the alleged mastermind of the high-profile blackmailing racket, on Monday broke her silence and said a CBI probe will reveal the truth behind the case.
Responding to a media query, why Sradhanjali is hiding, Archana said, "Where are the so-called victims.?"
Archana's statement assumes significance as she made such shocking revelations before media while she was being taken out of the court.
Archana, who was produced in a court today, termed her arrest in the case arbitrary. “I was arbitrarily arrested. After my arrest, my family was kept under house arrest,” she alleged.
“For six days I could not figure out what was happening to me. I was brought to court with my face and eyes covered. I want a CBI probe into the matter,” she stated.
Asked about the alleged blackmailing of film producer Akshay Parija, she claimed that she never demanded or accepted cash from him.
Today, Archana was brought to the court amid tight security from Jharpada jail where she was lodged after her arrest in the high-profile sextortion case.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the money trail in the case, has sought 15-day remand of Archana to dig more into the case. After her appearance, she was again taken to Jharpada jail.
