Under the impact of the system, rainfall activities will increase and wind speed reaching 40 to 50 kmph is likely to prevail in the Andaman Sea and adjoining the west-central Bay of Bengal and the south-west Bay of Bengal from November 30 to December 2.
Cyclone Shaheen was formed from the remnants of Cyclone Gulab, which had hit the east coast on September 26. Cyclone Gulab's intensity had reduced further as it traversed central India, pounding parts of Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday said that interior parts of Odisha will experience more rainfall as the monsoon will remain normal in the State for the next five days.
