The members of the ruling BJD (Biju Janata Dal) on Sunday staged protest against the Centre over rising prices of fuel and cooking gas cylinder. Party workers took out a protest march and cycle rally towards the Governor’s House.
The fuel prices have now increased on a fifth consecutive day. Before this after holding for a couple of days, fuel prices again has risen on the previous five days by about 35 paise per litre.
While the rising prices have left consumers seething with anger, people demand immediate steps by the government to put a cap on the trend.
