According to the police, a group of 25 students and four teachers had gone on a trip to a madrasa in Jawahar Nagar in Medchal district.

Reports said, the incident occurred while the boy was playing outside his house when all of a sudden he went missing. 

The tragic incident occurred at around 4pm when the four minors went to take bath in the Koel river this afternoon. The strong river current in the wake of rain fall swept all of them away.

Earlier in the day, two labourers lost their lives after drowning in Kharla river in Sambalpur district.

The Fire services officials have resumed the search operations on Friday morning in order to find the three other students.
