RTI activists in the area have filed a complaint against the couple before Bolangir SP with the allegations that they have got teacher job by producing fake certificates.
During the raid, the police stumbled upon over 1000 fake certificates in the name of 41 reputed universities. The fake certificates, verification reports, seals, diaries and rubber stamps, mobile phones, bank accounts and land documents were seized.
Bolangir SP Nitin Kusalkar said that around 1,000 to 5,000 fake certificates have been seized from a coaching centre named Reliance Education Institute.
Many government employees have gone missing after the fake certificate racket was busted. It is believed they had all produced fake certificates from this coaching centre to land their jobs.
In another incident, six jawans of the ITBP sustained injuries in a road accident near Bolgad on Khordha-Bolangir NH-57. Sources said the accident occurred when the ITBP van, carrying the jawans, overturned after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
The victim, identified as Ganeswar Suna of Keserakela village, has been admitted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.
Two persons have been detained in this connection. Their questioning is currently underway by Khaprakhol police.
As per the family members, the girl had a love relationship with a man in the village and she might have eloped with her.
