Crime Branch ADG Sanjeev Panda informed OTV that the CB has not taken over the probe into the case rather it will only help the police in the investigation. The CB team is led by a DSP rank officer and also has an inspector.

Soumya had changed the password of his mobile phone after she learnt his relationship. Even he had removed the contact lists and cleared Whatsapp chat history, Bidya further alleged.

Abhiram Mohapatra, Soumya’s father, also demanded lie-detection test of the Paralakhemundi DFO, Soumya's wife and cook who are suspected to be behind the murder of the young forest officer.
