SJTA launches four panjis for 2016-17 Odia calendar year
Puri: Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Wednesday approved four Odia ‘Panjis’ for 2016-17 on the occasion of Maha Bisuba Sankrati, which is celebrated as the Odia New Year.
Sudipta Chatterjee, SJTA public relation officer (PRO) said, “The temple administration has approved four panjis for this year. The panjis are Radha Ratna Bisudha Khadi Panjika, Bhagya Jyoti, Odisha Kohinoor Press Panjika and Samanta Chandra Sekhar Panjika.”
According to the panji, Odisha will experience rainfall as per expectation and the agriculture sector will witness growth. Besides, the state will also witness growth in the field of education and health this year, the panji stated.
The state will also register growth in the business sector as Venus will act as king and Moon as minister, pundits predict. The state may experience natural disasters like flood, cyclone and earthquake, the new panji predicts.
Bachaspati Baikunthanath Nayak, astrologer said, “The year when Venus becomes king and Moon becomes minister augurs well for the people of the state. As the Venus and Moon are in suitable position, we think this year will bring good results compared to the last year.”
