Bandh disrupts normal life in Keonjhar
Keonjhar: Normal life in the district came to a grinding halt on Wednesday as members of the United Action Committee (Milita Kriyanusthana Committee) called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh demanding fulfillment of their six-point charter of demands.
As part of the protest, members of the body staged picketing and road blockades at various places in the district. Bus service was completely affected bringing the vehicular movement to a grinding halt. Besides, shops and other business establishments remained close during the dawn-to-dusk bandh.
However, emergency services and educational institutions were spared from the purview of the shutdown.
