Athamallick condoles bus mishap deaths by observing bandh
Angul: College Students’ Association and locals of the town called for Athamallick bandh on Saturday condoling the death of 19 people who lost their lives in a tragic bus accident on Friday.
The members of the association also demanded Rs 5 lakh compensation to kin of each of the deceased.
Shops, schools and other business establishments remained closed while vehicles stayed off the roads in the locality.
The members of the students’ association has also organised a condolence meeting for the 19 persons who lost their lives in the tragic accident.

Notably, 19 people were killed and more than 30 others critically injured when a bus carrying them fell off a bridge in Angul district on Friday.
The mishap took place near Deulijhari when the bus from Boudh to Athamallik fell from a bridge at Puruna Manitri.
