Cuttack: With the cease work stir of the junior doctors and house surgeon of SCB medical college and hospital entering third day, a team of 15 doctors, which began a Padyatra to Raj Bhawan yesterday, will meet Governor today seeking safety of the working doctors at all health centres across State.

The 15-member team led by doctor Bhupendra Buda marched towards the Governor house holding photo of Gandhiji. They want non-violence be prevailed at all medical institutes. "We will submit a memorandum to the constitutional head of the State today. We seek promotion of non-violence. He might make a change to the security system or something else. But, the hospitals should run completely free from violence", Doctor Buda said.

The senior resident doctors of the leading health institute have also joined the stir today putting the patient service into disarray. People coming from far of places across the State and outside were seen standing for long time at Out Patient Door (OPD) while some others are found to return without being treated.

Three days ago, the relatives of a patient at pulmonary medicine ward thrashed a doctor alleging medical negligence which led to the death of patient.

The PG students had lodged a complaint at Mangalabag police station acting on which police have arrested one person while some others are absconding.
