1 Killed, 4 Injured in Road Accident in Aska

Aska: In a tragic incident, one person was killed and four others sustained critical injuries after two bikes collided head-on at Cheramaria-Karenjei road here on Wednesday night.

While the deceased has been identified as Padmanabha Behera, the injured persons have been identified as his brother Budhiram Behera and son Jagannath Behera of Pathara village in Kotibadi.

The two other injured persons who were riding the other bike were Sushant Kumar Swain and Siminchala of Nuapalli village in Polsara.

According to sources, the accident took place when Behera, along with his brother and son, was going to Ramachandrapur on a bike to attend a marriage function.

Another bike coming from the opposite direction hit the ill-fated bike from the front causing the death of Behera on the spot, the sources added.

All the injured persons were first rushed to Aska Hospital but were later shifted to the Berhampur Hospital.
