New Delhi: As many as 17 students from Odisha have been selected to attend PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0’ at Talkatora Stadium here on Tuesday. The PM will interact with 2,000 high school and college students, along with their parents and teachers in the programme.

The event, which will begin at 11 am, will be telecast live on various channels.

“I feel proud that we have been selected to interact live with the Prime Minister. I will ask him how the students can overcome their nervousness despite preparing well for examinations,” said Suryakanta Mohaptra of Kendra Vidyalaya, Kendrapara while speaking to OTV.

Similarly another student Debasish Panigrahi from Khurda KV said, “I am happy that I am selected for an interaction with the Prime Minister. My question to the Prime Minister will be - if a student performs badly in a subject, how s/he needs to handle the stress so that it doesn't hamper the performance in other papers.”

“I will ask Modiji that if one wants to go for medical course, why s/he has to take chemistry with biology. Similarly, if one wants to be an engineer, what he will do by studying biology?” said Prahlad Bacchhar, a student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Malkangiri.

“I am happy that I will get a chance to discuss various issues related to students with the Prime Minister face-to-face. During examinations, students get pressurised due to which they lose their concentration and a discussion on this with the PM during the interactive session will be fruitful. This will be really helpful for the students,” said a teacher of Khurda KV, Gauranga Chandra Panda.

During this unique interaction with the students, teachers and parents, the Prime Minister will discuss issues related to examinations, the Human Resource Development Ministry said in a statement.

While last year, only students of Delhi-NCR participated in the event, this year, students from all over India as well as Indian students residing abroad, including Russia, Nigeria, Iran, Nepal, Doha, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, would be participating. Around 675 students from different States and union territories have already arrived in Delhi for the event. Selected students will be allowed to ask questions to the Prime Minister on study-related matters.
