As many as two masons sustained critical injuries after an under construction college building collapsed at Kuchinda in Sambalpur district on Thursday.

Elephants Wreak Havoc In Bhubaneswar Slum, 1 Injured

A herd of three elephants strayed into Saraswati slum located in Sailashree Vihar area of Bhubaneswar in the early hours of Thursday and went on a rampage destroying several houses in the locality.

A person has also sustained minor injuries on his knee while trying to save himself from the attack of the jumbos. 

The animals reportedly entered the slum from the nearby Chandaka forest and wreaked havoc by damaging several houses. The elephants have also damaged many vehicles parked outside the houses.

The forest department officials rushed to the spot after getting information and managed to drive away the pachyderms in the nearby jungle.
