3 Women Hurt As Scuffle Breaks Out At Vaccination Centre In Kabisuryanagar

At least three women were injured in a scuffle that broke out due to overcrowding at the Kabisuryanagar community health centre in Ganjam district during Covid-19 vaccination. 

Hundreds of people queued up at the health centre for receiving Covid-19 vaccine jab since morning. As the crowd swelled ruckus was witnessed at the centre despite the presence of police.

The beneficiaries said that the problem arose due to the lack of barricading at the vaccination centre which resulted in the mismanagement of the massive footfall. Furthermore, they alleged there was no provision of drinking water at the centre which caused tempers to fly and the restlessness in the crowd.

NCB Seizes 850 Kg Ganja From Oil Tanker In Odisha

 Sleuths from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday arrested two people from Ainthapalli in Sambalpur on the charges of transporting a huge consignment of ganja (dry cannabis) concealed in an oil tanker.

As per reports, the accused had procured the narcotics from Andhra Pradesh and were on their way to Rourkela when the oil tanker was intercepted. Around 850 kgs of ganja has been recovered from the tanker. The accused have been identified as Ram Sagar Singh( 60 ) and Santosh Ray (28), both residents of West Bengal.

Road Accident: Bolero Overturns Injuring 15 People In Odisha's Koraput

At least 15 people were left injured after a bolero carrying some passengers overturned near Ambiliambaguda chhak in Koraput district early morning on Monday. The vehicle carrying women and some children among other passengers was en route to Jeypore from Dasamantapur when it is believed to have lost control and overturned onto the roadside.
