Thunderstorm, lightning alert for several Odisha districts; IMD issues yellow warning

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted thunderstorm and lightning in several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, there will be no large change in Maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature is likely to fall gradually by 3 to 4 degree Celsisus in subsequent four days over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Cuttack.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 15.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 16.06.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 17.06.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated) Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Kandhamal, Balasore, Bhadrak.
