It is nearly impossible to be fearless. However, being courageous is possible for everyone. With increased self-esteem, one can push through fear and overcome the danger. What would a person do when a wild carnivorous animal walks close to you? How would a child react in such a condition?

Recently, a 12-year-old boy has left everyone surprised with his presence of mind and act of bravery.

Mohit Ahire, a 12-year-old boy from Malegaon, Maharashtra, had a close encounter with a leopard. However, instead of panicking, he used his presence of mind and acted bravely. Not only did he escape the spot, but, he locked the leopard inside inside an office cabin until assistance arrived and the wild cat was rescued.

The incident was captured on CCTV in the office room. In the video, Ahire, the son of a wedding hall security guard is seen sitting in a room. He seems to be busy with his mobile game when a leopard walks in. However, the big cat didn't notice the young boy sitting close to the entrance. After seeing the leopard entering the room, Ahire quietly put down his phone, got up and left the room. He carefully closed the door.

As per reports, the young boy immediately informed his father that he locked a leopard inside the office.

A report in TOI quoted Ahire as saying, "The leopard was so close. There was hardly any space between the leopard and me. It walked into the inner cabin of the office right in front of me. I was scared, but I quietly got off the bench and sneaked out of the office. I closed the door behind me."

Malegaon range forest officer Vaibhav Hiray informed that their personnel were in the neighbourhood when the boy trapped the leopard in the wedding hall's office. They immediately called a team from Nashik city. Later, the five-year-old male leopard was tranquilised and rescued.

Soon after the video surfaced on social media, it went viral leaving netizens surprised. While the source of the video couldn't be verified, Anshul Saxena shared it on X (formerly Twitter). The comments section of the video is flooded with appreciation for the young boy and his bravery.
