KL Rahul’s ‘bad form’ triggers hilarious meme-fest on Twitter

India opener KL Rahul disappointed fans and critics alike with yet another dud at the recently concluded 2nd Test match against Australia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The talented batsman failed to do justice to his selection, giving chance to critics to question his opportunities.

During the 2nd innings, he could score only 1 run and was sent packing by Nathan Lyon. Now, his bad form and dismissal has led to a meme fest on Twitter.

Earlier, former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad had tweeted, “I have a lot of regards for KL Rahul’s talent and ability, but sadly his performances have been well below par. A test average of 34 after 46 tests and more than 8 years in international cricket is ordinary. Can’t think of many who have been given so many chances.”

He continued, “Especially when there are so many waiting in the wings & in top form. Shubman Gill is in sublime form, Sarfaraz has been scoring tons in FC cricket, and many who deserve a chance ahead of Rahul. Some are just lucky to be given chances endlessly till they succeed while some aren’t allowed to.”

KL Rahul hasn’t been in the best of form but is part of the team even as players like Shubman Gill, who are in the form and has hit double ton recently, have been excluded from the team.

The batsman recently married actress Athiya Shetty, daughter of Suniel Shetty in a private ceremony.
