IPL 2023: Athiya Shetty reacts to husband KL Rahul’s massive six against Yuzvendra Chahal - watch

Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty made her first appearance in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday to watch Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) taking on Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Athiya was lucky as her husband and LSG skipper Rahul didn’t disappoint her with the team stunning RR to win by 10 runs in the high-voltage clash.

The Bollywood actress was delighted to watch her husband in action. Rahul had a good opening partnership with Kyle Mayers and they put on 82 runs for the first wicket. Rahul scored 39 off 32 balls which included a massive six off tweaker Yuzvendra Chahal as well.

Rahul slog-swept Chahal on the fifth ball of the ninth over of the game over mid-wicket for a massive six. Athiya just couldn’t keep calm after the huge hit into the fence. She was seen loudly cheering for her husband as the cameraman panned on her.

Earlier, Athiya had celebrated a low-key 31st birthday of Rahul just a day before the match.

Coming back into the match, RR restricted LSG to 154 despite the solid opening stand between Rahul and Mayers. However, RR could manage only 144 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated overs.
