Rashmika Mandanna 'clears the air' on engagement buzz with Vijay Deverakonda! Watch
Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have often been the subject of dating speculation, thanks to their frequent outings, vacations, and public appearances together. While neither has officially confirmed their relationship, the latest round of rumours began when Rashmika arrived in Dubai for the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2025. She was photographed at the airport wearing a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger, instantly setting social media abuzz with engagement whispers.
The sight of the ring led many fans to believe that the much-talked-about couple might finally be engaged. Pictures and clips quickly went viral, sparking heated debates online. However, the chatter cooled down once Rashmika appeared at the SIIMA Awards event itself. Observers noticed she had shifted the ring from her ring finger to her little finger, subtly downplaying the engagement assumptions. While her outfit drew praise, the change in ring placement suggested it had no symbolic value.
The strongest indication that the rumours were baseless came soon after. The Thama actress was spotted leaving a salon in Mumbai, notably without the ring that had caused such a stir. This appearance confirmed that the diamond sparkler was only part of her Dubai look, not a sign of a secret engagement. With that, the speculation surrounding her and Vijay Deverakonda’s supposed big step seems to have been firmly laid to rest.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Rashmika has fuelled curiosity about her bond with Vijay. During promotions for Pushpa 2 last year, she seemed to all but confirm their relationship. When asked whether she would marry someone from within the industry or outside, the host jokingly offered to 'find her the boy' if she clarified. Rashmika playfully responded, “Everyone knows about it,” a reply that left Allu Arjun and the audience in splits, as the hall erupted with cheers.
Adding to the intrigue, she teased further, saying, “I know what answer you want, I know it well,” before declining to elaborate, promising instead to explain later 'personally'. The coy response only strengthened the belief that Vijay Deverakonda is indeed the special someone in her life.
