Two minor girls of a family go missing in Odisha

In a shocking incident, two minor girls from a family have gone missing from Kumanda village under Angul Sadar police station in the district. 

The missing girls have been identified as 13-year-old Priyanka Gochhayat and 16-year-old Payal Gochhayat.

As per the allegation, both the girls went missing while the family members were asleep at home on September 9.

The family members have lodged a missing complaint at the police station. They have urged the police to conduct a thorough search to trace and rescue the girls immediately.

The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Earlier last week, the body of a 10-year-old girl, who had gone missing, was discovered from a drain close to her house at Shyamsundarpur village in Angul.

The child’s family had lodged a missing person report after she failed to return home. Her death sparked serious allegations, with relatives claiming she was deliberately killed by miscreants.

Tension prevailed in the area as angry villagers blocked the Angul-Bantala road, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and justice for the child. The road blockade disrupted traffic for several hours.
