Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are performing splendidly under the astute leadership of ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). However, fans are intrigued by the question of whether Dhoni will retire after IPL 2023.

Dhoni has retired from all forms of international cricket in 2020. However, he continues to play for CSK in the cash-rich league even at the age of 41. But, it seems that Dhoni may have finally hinted at his retirement from the IPL.

The veteran wicket-keeper batsman has dropped a massive hint when a fan asked him about his retirement plan from IPL during a recent event for CSK. In response to the retirement question, though Dhoni didn’t give an explicit answer, he said in his typical style that there is still plenty of time to make a decision and he does not want to put head coach Stephen Fleming under any kind of pressure.

“There is lots of time to take that call. Right now, we have lots of games, and the coach will be under pressure if I say anything. I don’t want to put pressure on him,” said Dhoni cheekily.

Notably, CSK are currently occupying the third spot in the IPL points table with six points in their kitty. They have so far won three matches and lost two matches.
