Rajasthan Royals are in sparkling form in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Captain Sanju Samson has shown immense maturity and led the team from the front. In the tough encounter against defending champions Gujarat Titans, Samson scored a whirlwind 32-ball 60 to lay the foundation of a tricky run-chase. Eventually, they came out with flying colours with Shimron Hetmyer giving the final touches.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh heaped praise on Samson following his brilliant knock. Bhajji compared him to none other than the great MS Dhoni. The tweaker also advocated Samson’s case for regular game-time in the Indian team.

“We have seen another captain’s knock from Samson. I have said in the past and I still believe that Samson should be a regular feature in Team India especially in the white ball format. He plays both the spinners and fast bowlers with equal ease. He knows how to absorb pressure and is a strong-willed player. Just like ‘Captain Cool’ Dhoni, he has immense faith in his abilities,” said Harbhajan during an interview.

While defending a target of 178 against Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals lost a couple of early wickets and were under immense pressure. However, skipper Samson showed a cool head on his shoulders and went on to play according to his own will to make GT bowlers dance to his tune.
