Former India captain and legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar found a unique similarity between Sachin Tendulkar and his son Arjun after the left-hand pacer picked up his first wicket in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

As per Gavaskar, it was not only his talent that helped Sachin achieve what he did, rather it was his temperament that had set him apart from the rest of the players. Arjun seemed to have inherited that from his father.

“Everybody talks about the amazing talent Sachin had at the start of his career. However, it was his temperament that was absolutely amazing. Arjun seems to have inherited that from his father. He seems to be a shrewd thinker as well. It is always a good sign when a youngster is bowling the final over for the team and delivering,” said Gavaskar during his commentary.

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma handed the ball to Arjun and the young pacer bowled a perfect last over and got his maiden IPL wicket against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to seal the match. Arjun ended the game with figures of 1/18 as MI won the game by 14 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

After registering the victory over SRH, MI have sent a strong message to the other teams that the five-time champions are finding their mojo back. MI have now won three games on the trot in the ongoing IPL.
