Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar played several remarkable innings as the opening batsman for team India. And now, it's Arjun Tendulkar, his son, who became the opening bowler for Mumbai Mumbai Indians.

Soon after the young Tendulkar was inducted into Mumbai Indians Paltan, congratulatory messages poured in from different quarters including the film fraternity. Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan and several others from the B Town wished Arjun for his debut match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Meanwhile, dotting dad and the master blaster Sachin got nostalgic following his son's debut match.

AB Tweeted, "Well played @mipaltan And so wonderful to see a #Tendulkar back in the #MI line-up. Congratulations #ArjunTendulkar on your debut. @sachin_rt must be so proud."

Responding to his Tweet Sachin wrote, "Thank you, Abhishek...and this time, a Tendulkar opened the bowling instead of batting. Also, you were probably the first one to face his bowling when we used to play below our building!"

To this, Junior Bachchan responded, "Yes. Wonderful memories. He was as fierce then too."

Well, this would be certainly an exciting moment for Junior Tendulkar.

Earlier, SRK and KKR owner wrote, "As competitive as this IPL may be… but when u see a friends son #ArjunTendulkar take the field it is a matter of such happiness and joy. Wish Arjun all the best and @sachin_rt what a proud moment!! Wow!"

"There are gold threads in both, MI & KKR jerseys but your heart is 100% gold, Shah Rukh! Thank you so much for your warm wishes," replied Sachin.
