The locals of Naikpada under Nuapada’s Komna police limits were taken by surprise after a suspicious device fell from the sky on the night of February 17.

The device fell on the main road near Naikpada.

As per reports, the unknown device had a red light and ‘Made-In-Korea’ inscribed on it. It was tied to a balloon.

The discovery of the device made the locals wary. They informed the personnel of Tarbod police outpost and Komna police station, who came with a bomb disposal squad and took the device.

Primary investigation revealed it to be a weather forecasting apparatus.

Notably, the locals are still in panic as the device looked suspicious and had made-in-Korea written on it.

However, an investigation into the incident is going on and the police are likely to come up with an appropriate explanation.
