UPSC Invites Applications For Sub Divisional Engineer Posts, Check Details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the recruitment of Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil).

As per the advertisement, six posts will be filled in the office of the Chief Engineer-Cum-Special Secretary (Engineering), Union Territory, Chandigarh.

The closing date for submission of online recruitment application through ORA website is December 30, 2021.

Vacancy Details:

Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil): 6 Vacancies

Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Rs. 5400 (Grade Pay).

Age: 35 years.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Note: The candidate who were enrolled for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) up to 31.05.2013 are only eligible for consideration to the post of Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil) for Direct Recruitment and the candidate who have enrolled on or after 01.06.2013 for AMIE are not eligible for consideration to the post of Sub Divisional Engineer (CIVIL) (Direct Recruitment).

Duties:

Supervising the maintenance of residential /non residential buildings, located in the Union Territory, Chandigarh. Supervision and execution of the construction of Building and Road works.

The Sub Divisional Engineer appointed through Direct Recruitment shall undergo one month’s induction training from an Institute designated by the Department in the field of duties or responsibilities of the post immediately after their appointment and such training shall be part of successful completion of probation.
