Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is all set to step behind the camera for the highly anticipated Krrish 4, the next chapter in India’s most loved superhero franchise. Fans have been waiting for years to see Krrish return to the big screen in his trademark black trenchcoat and mask. Amplifying the excitement, veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently shared key updates on the film’s progress, including its release plans.

Budgeting Hurdles Finally Resolved

During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan revealed that while the script was completed without much delay, the project was held up due to financial challenges.

“The pressure was the budgeting. Now that we have an idea of the definite budget required for this film, we’ll be starting the film,” he confirmed, assuring that the long-standing roadblocks have now been cleared.

Shooting and Release Plans

The veteran filmmaker also disclosed that pre-production work is currently in full swing.

“The work is going on in full swing. We are going to start shooting by the middle of next year. This is because the pre-production is much more extensive for this film. Hence, we have to be well prepared before we go on floors. We plan to release it in 2027,” Rakesh Roshan revealed.

'Nervous' Hrithik to Don Director’s Hat

Back in March, Rakesh Roshan surprised fans with an Instagram post, announcing that Hrithik Roshan will direct Krrish 4. The revelation left audiences both stunned and excited.

Despite the buzz, Duggu admitted to feeling the pressure of this new challenge. Speaking at an event, he shared, “I don’t know what to say, but I am afraid and nervous. I feel like I’m back in kindergarten. It seems I have to grow up in a whole different way all over again.”

To add to the nostalgia, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, and Rekha are likely to reprise their memorable characters from earlier films.
