The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) will conduct a special recruitment drive for engagement of Assistant Agriculture Officer in Class II (Group B).

The special recruitment drive will be undertaken to fill up 22 posts of Assistant Agriculture Officer from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community.

They will be engaged in Odisha Agriculture and Food Production Service under the Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department.

The link for registration/re-registration of online application shall be available from January 28 and the last date for submission of registered online application is February 7, 2022.

Vacancy Details:

Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 43 years as on the 1st day of January 2021 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1973 and not later than 1st January 2000. Persons with disabilities (whose permanent disabilities is 40% and more) shall get age relaxation by 10 (ten) years, provided that a person who comes under more than one category mentioned above shall be eligible for only one age relaxation benefit which be considered most beneficial to him/her.

Educational Qualification: A candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture from any of the recognized Universities or Institution.

Examination Fee: All the candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Method of Selection:

- The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Agriculture Officer shall be made on the basis of Written Test and Interview

. -Written Test: It shall consist of two papers of objective types (Multiple Choice Questions) and each paper shall be of two hours duration carrying 100 marks each.

-There shall be negative marking for wrong answers with a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

- Interview shall consist of 25 (twenty-five) marks.
