Shruti Sharma of Bijnor district in Uttar Pradesh has topped the UPSC 2021 examination. During her recent visit to Bhubaneswar, Shruti shared her success mantra among the students at a special program.

Shruti cracked UPSC examination in her second attempt. She was confident of clearing the exam but never thought of getting number one rank.

“I still can’t get my head around it but it’s a great feeling. I didn’t expect Rank 1. I was very anxious, but it was a pleasant surprise. I’m overjoyed, but it’s hard for me to believe that I topped the examination,” she said.

As per Shruti, UPSC aspirants should have strong will-power and they should give their 100 per cent in their preparation with full focus to clear the examination.

“Anything is possible with clear goal setting, full determination and strong will-power,” she said.

Talking about how she prepared for the examination, Shruti said, “This journey required a lot of hard work and patience.”

When asked about her advice to aspiring students, Shruti said, “You should do what you like. That will give you the required motivation in this journey.”

“An aspirant should have a proper strategy and he or she should continue to study online and offline materials to be successful. There is no need to go for any special coaching and remain away from home to prepare for the examination,” she added.

Shruti feels that joining civil services will help her provide the best service to the nation.

“After joining my job, I will give emphasis mainly on health, education and women’s emancipation,” she signed off.
