Today, we will read about IAS Anil Basak, a shining example of perseverance in the face of adversity. Born into the humblest of beginnings, Anil’s father eked out a living as a roadside cloth merchant who sold clothes on a cycle in Bihar.
However, amid the struggle, Anil was brilliant at his studies and his academic prowess shone brightly as a beacon of hope amidst the darkness. With unwavering resolve, Anil excelled at every juncture of his studies.
His excellence and diligence helped him reach the esteemed halls of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. Little did he know that this was just the beginning of his ultimate goal?
Soon after graduating from IIT Delhi, he set his sight on the formidable challenge of writing the UPSC exam, his childhood ambition to become an IAS officer. He could have easily got a high-paying job after passing out from IIT, Delhi; but, he decided to sit for the UPSC exam.
However, he faced failure in his first attempt. Despite stumbling at the first hurdle, his spirit remained unbroken. He introspected his failure and refined his approach for his second attempt. Through sheer determination and perseverance, he secured IRS in his second attempt.
As Anil was determined to become an IAS officer, he didn't give up; he embarked on another valiant attempt to fulfill his IAS dream. Finally after multiple trials and tribulations, Anil’s hard work bore fruit and he secured an impressive rank to become an IAS officer.
