In a bone-chilling incident, an Indian-origin man reportedly tied up his ex-girlfriend with cables and buried her alive in Australia for breaking up with him.

According to a report in DNA India, the girl was made to suffer till her last moment as an act of revenge. Hearing the case, a court in Australia sentenced the accused identified as Tarikjot Singh to life imprisonment for the crime. He is unlikely to get bail.

Tarik also pleaded guilty to the murder and confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend Jasmine Kaur for breaking up with him.  According to reports, 21-year-old Jasmine was a nursing student from India. She was seeing Tarik who was also staying in Australia.

Both of them were a happy couple until Jasmine decided to breakup with him for some reason. However, Tarik was not able to bear the break-up and had a mental breakdown. He started stalking her and planned to kill the girl as an act of revenge.

As per the local news reports, Jasmine was at her workplace in Adelaide, Australia when Tarik kidnapped her. He tied up her hands and legs with a cable and forced her into the boot of his car.

He then drove her to a shallow grave where he buried her alive, leading to her death due to suffocation and asphyxiation.

“There was no one to rescue her; she spent her last hour on the earth with the worst of humanity. Jasmine is gone and I’m heartbroken, she was a precious little girl,” Jasmine’s mother was quoted as saying after the court’s life imprisonment sentence.
