The locals of Ramagiri will consecrate the idols of Lord Ram and Devi Sita at the Jagannath Temple on January 22, at the exact time of Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

It has been done in view of the inauguration of the Srimandir Parikrama Project in Puri on January 17 (Today) and the consecration ceremony of Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

BJP leader Dilip Mallik said, “The Pran Pratishtha’ of Lord Ram has been an outcome of a 500-year-old struggle. The day is being perceived and regarded as an auspicious and sacred day. It is a matter of emotional attachment with Lord Ram for Hindus in the country."

Senior Congress leader and Jeypore MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati on Tuesday urged the district administration to close liquor shops and bars across the district on the Ram Mandir consecration day.

Uttar Pradesh Police has installed over 10,000 CCTV cameras and will deploy drones to ensure security in Ayodhya on the day of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple. Anti-drone system has also been installed to take control of any unauthorised drone in the vicinity, SP Security Gaurav Vanswal said.

UP officials are collaborating with national agencies and the Union ministry of information and broadcasting and are identifying the key locations for coverage on January 21 and 22.

Kuresh Behera and Sonu Bisoi started from their home town Berhampur’s Chandpur on December 30, 2023 and expect to reach Ayodhya before January 22 to see the grand consecration ceremony. They have reached Bhadrak on Thursday.

An antique collector from Odisha is going to send a bow and arrow for lord Ram ahead of the consecration ceremony which is scheduled to be held on January 22.

As Ayodhya is getting ready for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22, contributions are pouring in from all across India. A weaver family from Bargarh in Odisha has also woven a saree, specifically for the ceremony.
