Ayodhya Ram Mandir VIP pass scam
The devotees of Lord Ram are eagerly looking forward to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony scheduled for January 22.
However, taking this opportunity, fraudsters are targeting devotees with online scams offering VIP darshan on this day.
According to a News18 report, scammers are actively campaigning and sending bulk messages on WhatsApp, offering free VIP entry to the Ayodhya temple.
These scammers instruct individuals to install an application (APK) available on Google Play Store or the App Store. Once the user installs the app, the scammers gain access to the user's smartphone.
Scam messages on WhatsApp say, "Congratulations! You are lucky to get VIP access on Jan 22 for the Ram Mandir Ayodhya inauguration."
