New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: Raising serious concern over the death of Avinash, a seven-year-old boy suffering from dengue, the Delhi government today ordered a magistrate-level inquiry into the matter, said Health minister Satyendra Jain.
It may be recalled that, Avinash Rout was admitted to a hospital late in a critical condition following denial of two private hospitals that led to his death. Being frustrated over the death of one and only son, his parents committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a four-storey apartment at Lado Sarai area of south Delhi.
The deceased parents were identified as Lakshman Chandra Raut, 35, and Babita Raut, 30.
Earlier on September 12, the Delhi government has slapped show cause notices on five leading hospitals threatening cancellation of registration after the parents of the boy committed suicide.
