Bhubaneswar: The 4th Rewards and Recognition Programme ‘ZENITH 2014’ was organised by the local chapter of National HRD Network at Infosys centre here on Friday.
The programme aims at showcasing the benchmarked HR practices which are unique, innovative and have paid rich dividends as well as encourages the best HR young managers to display their excellence.
Prabhat Kumar Das, head of the Infosys centre, was present on the occasion and keynote speech was given by Partha Sarathi Mishra of Tata Steel, Kalinga Nagar project.
In his address, Das laid emphasis on emotional sensitivity as the key to manage teams and people they work with. “Connecting to the grassroots is an essential component of accelerating excellence in organizations,” he noted.
Addressing the gathering, Saroj Mahapatra, vice-president of JSPL in Angul and mentor at the local chapter of Network, said hearing from the heart is very essential when we look at aligning HR to business strategy.
The address was followed by a panel discussion on ‘HR as strategic partner in decision-making’ and at the end of the event, awards were given to participating organizations in various categories.
